When I started out on this eco-friendly journey one of the first products I came across in my research was the Ecococonut Twin Pack Cleaning Scourers, which led to my discovery of the Ecococonut brand and all their products including these Bottle Brushes. Their products are made from coconut husks, which is the outside of dried coconut and of which 85% are normally wasted.
Like so many swaps on my journey to being more eco-friendly this eco swap was an easy decision to make and an even easier swap to action in your kitchen. Not only are they a completely natural product but the bottle brushes are highly durable, functional and will last you ages. When the time comes that you’ve used it to the very end and it needs disposing of, you can just remove the brush and pop it on the compost heap or in the relevant waste recycling.
These bottle brushes are brilliant at cleaning hard to reach places including reusable drinking bottles, wine glasses and baby bottles. Coconut husk is also naturally antibacterial so it’s the perfect replacement to those plastic bottle brushes.
The handle is made from FSC accredited wood from recycled rubber trees and can also be recycled or composted in the correct conditions. All the Ecococonut products have been fully tested and are marketed as being non-scratch but please do test your surfaces first as no responsibility will be accepted by Ecococonut if a surface is effected.
All our packaging is also plastic-free so please make sure you reuse, recycle or compost where possible.
