9 ways to clean using bicarbonate of soda

1. For dishes/pots & pans

 Sprinkle some bicarbonate of soda on half a lemon and use as an abrasive cleaner.

2. For laundry 

Add one small cup of bicarbonate of soda to your regular detergent for clean bright whites.

3. To use as a fabric softener

Add 1/4 cup of bicarbonate of soda and 3/4 cup of water in the rinse drawer of your washing machine

4. To clean your sink

Sprinkle around the sink and draining board area and scrub with a  sponge, rinse well.

5. To remove coffee and tea stains

Scrub using a cloth soaked in bicarbonate of soda

6. To clean fridges

Sprinkle bicarbonate of soda onto a compostable sponge wipe the area and rinse with water.  You can also place a small bowl of bicarbonate of soda in your fridge to absorb unpleasant odours.

7. To clean reusable bottles

Sprinkle with bicarbonate of soda and leave overnight to remove smells and stains.

8. For hairbrushes

Add one teaspoon to a little warm water and use to clean brushes and combs.

9. To keep your cat litter tray fresh

Sprinkle bicarbonate of soda into your cat litter tray underneath the litter to help prevent unpleasant odours.
